The Drizzle Stitch is a 3D stitch that stands free from the fabric, except its base. The technique used is quite different from the other hand embroidery stitches. You need to support the stitching with both your hands at times. An absolute beginner might find it tricky to do this initially but will soon find it enjoyable. It could help to use a Milliner’s needle, but it is not a must. Perle Cotton and heavyweight threads can work wonderfully in the outcome of this stitch.
