About the Sword Stitch
The Sword Stitch is made easily using a loop method. It does not involve the formation of a knot, but it follows the technique used in the Pearl Stitch – the reason why this stitch features in the Knots Family. This is a beautiful stitch that can be used for making texture on larger areas of pattern. You can make it big or small, or just go whimsical- it is an adaptable stitch! Make them in a line, or scatter them, or just keep it isolated! Such a simple stitch and so many choices!
How to do the Sword Stitch

| Fig 1: Start by coming out from A. Go in through B and come out again through C. The stitch points fall on the corners of an imaginary triangle. | Fig 2: Next, pass the needle under the stitch A-B. Do not pluck the fabric underneath. |

| Fig 3: Now, take the needle in through a point right below point B. As you pull out the needle, the looped thread pulls the stitch A-B to form a cross. | Fig 4: Your Sword Stitch is ready! |
