About the Laced Chain Stitch
The Laced Chain Stitch is a pretty stitch to do as outlines, borders, or even fillings! The laced thread that peeks out from either side of the Chain Stitch gives it a delicate and pretty look. Play around with different colors to see how they work out visually.
How to do the Laced Chain Stitch
You will need to know how to do the Chain Stitch to be able to do this stitch.
Fig 1: Lay a foundation of Chain Stitch. Then, come out with a contrasting colored thread and pass it under the first Chain Stitch. | Fig 2: Next, turn around and pass the needle under the next Chain Stitch. Keep doing this for the entire row. Be careful not to pluck the fabric underneath during the process. |
