I’m just starting out and would love to get your ebook! It looks like perhaps it will be due out soon? Can’t wait! Since I have no idea what I’m looking for it is hard to find what stitch I want by name. I’d love to flip through them in a book!

    Hi Sarah,

If this is good enough, I would like to contribute it to your e-book.

On the butterfly I used – buttonhole bar, eskimo laced edging, french knot, and straight stitch.

Yellow, blue and purple flowers are lazy daisy and satin.

    Flower stems are coral stitch.

Pink flowers, rice stitch and french knot.

    Leafs are fish bone.

    I think that is all.

        Hi Judy,
        Thanks.
If you are referring to the sample in this page, it is neither my design nor my embroidery! It belongs to one of our very talented learners- Mario Tenorio. 🙂
Since this was a page on embroidery contribution, we just put up a sample from her, as Maria shares many of her lovely works.

    Hi Sarah,
I have never embroidered in my life but have been very inspired in my travels…especially recently when i had the chance to witness a lot of phulkari work. I want to try my hand at it but am having a hard time finding the silk ‘pat’ thread needed. I live in mumbai and have checked a few places to my disappointment. Do you know of a place where I can get supplies for Phulkari work? Also, are you planning to have embroidery workshop anytime soon?
    love your tutorials.
    Yasmin

    • sarah says:

      Dear Yasmin,

Sorry, I am not really aware of the places in Mumbai where you might get things for Phulkari work.

I might hold some workshops after a few months. It would be in Pune. I will announce it once all the arrangements are in place.
