How to do Bead Embroidery with the Four-Legged Knot Stitch
The Four-Legged Knot Stitch is wonderful for texture building. Including beads adds to the glamour of the embroidery work. Experiment with various colors to make clusters of this stitch that can highlight your work.
Fig 1: Come out with your needle at a point in your fabric. Slip in a couple of beads. | Fig 2: Next, pass right under the first stitch point and emerge in a diagonal manner. |
Fig 3: Slip in a single bead and pass it down to the base. | Fig 4: Then, pass the needle under the stitch with the two beads on either side. Take the working thread across the needle and then loop it under it. |
Fig 5: Pull the needle out to position the knot at the junction. Slip in the final bead. | Fig 6: Now, pass the needle through the fabric to finish the stitch. |
Fig 8: I have done a cluster of this stitch. Work with various lengths of the stitch. |
