3SAT Project – Three Stitches At a Time Project

The 3SAT Embroidery Project uses patterns and designs that will help you to learn the embroidery stitches quickly and easily. While most of us can learn the stitches, it is difficult to get a pattern where we can apply those stitches while learning. Also, not all of us are comfortable creating patterns to stitch. The 3SAT project patterns are so easy that you can draw them just by looking at them. Or, just print them out and transfer them to your fabric. Each pattern uses only three stitches, making it super fun and easy to do! You can also use your own imagination and stitches to work over these patterns!

Just click on any pattern you like and enjoy learning! And, yes, don’t forget to upload your finished projects on the respective pages and share it with us.

Oh I have just found your Patterns. So lovely. I am teaching myself embroidery. At this moment I seem to be addicted to learning new stitches and not actually making anything. Such a lovely pastime.

. What fabrics is the best to use for Embriodery

    • Sarah says:

Thank you, Shobha. I would suggest a plain cotton fabric to use for embroidering. They are sturdy and easy to handle. Always use an embroidery hoop. Do share your embroidery work here.☺️

    Hi,
Just discovered your site and am thrilled with your SATs as a great way to learn. Wanted to let you know that patterns 10 & 11 both show as hair.
    Cheers from Canada!

    • Sarah says:

      Hi Heather,
I am happy to know that you liked the 3SAT patterns. There are lots more coming.
Pattern 10 and 11 were a combination pattern with the ‘Game of Thrones’ theme. Later, I decided to remove pattern #10. I will be replacing it with another pattern in a week or two. 🙂

Hello…Sarah..Thank you so much for these wonderful tutorials..I have a question..while transferring a pattern onto the fabric using white or yellow carbon, do we need to use a specific dark pencil..
I have used my normal pencil hard enough to trace, however the tracing does not result in a clear pattern..Please advise

    • Sarah says:

      Hi Thangam,
The color of the trace will depend on the color of your carbon paper. So, if your caron paper is white or yellow, it will give white or yellow-colored traces. If you want dark traces, use black or blue carbon sheets. It does not matter what color pencil you use. Try to keep a book under the tracking material so that it helps in having a smooth trace.
      I hope this helps. 🙂

Dear Sarah,Thank you so much..I used the yellow or white carbon paper but the tracing was not so clear..I guess it wrks better on dark coloured fabrics.Thank you so much
